The first Workshop on
Scalable and Efficient Artificial Intelligence Systems (SEAS)
March 4, 2025 @ AAAI 2025 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
Venue: Pennsylvania Convention Center

About SEAS 2025

As the AI community continues to develop algorithms with human-like capabilities, it is crucial to understand the implications of these advancements for creating scalable and efficient AI systems. While AI systems excel at handling small-scale data tasks, managing large-scale, dynamically growing datasets presents new and distinct challenges. Addressing these challenges requires collaboration between researchers from both academia and industry, focusing on both fundamental research and applied technologies.

To this end, we introduce the first workshop on Scalable and Efficient Artificial Intelligence Systems (SEAS), which offers a timely forum for experts from academia and industry to share their experiences in designing and developing robust computer vision (CV), machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, and translating them into real-world solutions. The SEAS workshop aims to create a collaborative environment where academics and industry professionals can discuss AI models and techniques that not only perform efficiently at smaller scales but can also scale robustly as data volumes increase. The workshop will serve as a vital platform for dialogue among leading experts and emerging scholars in the strong AAAI community, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and innovations in scalable and efficient AI systems.

Call for Papers

We welcome researchers to submit 7 pages for full papers (excluding references and appendices). All papers will undergo a peer-review process. Please submit at the following CMT website: SEAS 2025 CMT submission website.

The paper submissions must be in pdf format and use the AAAI 2025 official templates. All submissions must be anonymous and conform to the AAAI 2025 standards for double-blind review. The accepted papers will be posted on the workshop website and will not appear in the AAAI 2025 official proceedings. Since AAAI 2025 does not provide the official workshop proceedings, we plan to work with our past publisher partners (e.g. Springer, MDPI, etc.) to publish the accepted papers. At least one author of each accepted submission must present the paper at the workshop in person. Otherwise, the paper will be removed from the workshop program.

Submission deadline: November 24, 2024 (11:59 PM PST)
Notification to authors: December 9, 2024
Camera ready deadline: December 18, 2024 (11:59 PM PST)

We invite the submission of original and high-quality research papers in the topics related to scalable and efficient AI systems. Accepted work will be presented as either an oral or a poster presentation.
